Thematic Development is a company from The Netherlands with over 20 years of worldwide experience in the Themed Entertainment industry. Aiming to bridge the gap between creativity and technical functionality for dark rides, rollercoasters, haunted houses and immersive experiences.
Thematic Development is the Alcorn McBride distributer for the UK & EU market and Thematic Development is proud to be part of the Alcorn McBride family and aims to serve the EU market as best as possible.
We are also AV integrators with a passion for content production. You can truly call us a one-stop-shop solution for your attraction, ride or immersive experience.
Since July 2025 we are also exclusive distributors for Back Stage Technologies special effects equipment for the EU market.

You can contact us 7 days a week and 24 hours per day. Usually we reply on emergencies within the hour. Honestly our stuff rarely breaks, so we never really deal with emergencies.

Founder Frank Ruisch literally grew up with a rollercoaster in his backyard and was employed fulltime age 16 to 26 by Theme Park “Walibi Holland” for over 10 years as Sound Designer and Show Programmer.
After working for over 10 years at Walibi Holland, Frank started his own company “AV Syncworks” which produced soundtracks and show programming services for the Themed Entertainment industry.
In 2024 AV Syncworks was renamed to Thematic Development and Frank expanded his business with Alcorn McBride and Back Stage Technologies distribution.
